Cassandra Clare forum questions

In case you aren't aware of Cassandra Clare, she is the author of City of Bones/City of Ashes.

So today I was googling some of Simon's t-shirt slogans, and I found this, which is a thread on Twilight Moms where members are asking Cassandra Clare questions about her books. I've already found out lots of good bits that I didn't know (like Sebastian is mentioned in COA), and reminded of bits I did know but forget (like Jace and Clary having matching scars). So anyway, check it out if you are interested. Its kind of hard to read because there are so many posts, but after a while you get the hang of figuring out which posts are answers to questions.

13 enjoyed the bouquet.:

I feel like I've been living under a rock because I have never heard of these books. I just googled it and checked it out online. Read an excert from City of Bones. Sounds kind of interesting. Is it worth reading?!

;) its not that you've been living on a rock... its that I read (and waste money on) a LOT of books, and force my friends to read the good ones.

Seriously, if you liked Twilight, you will probably like these. They are super good.

Ok you have me intrigued. I've had a gift certificate for Amazon and could never decide what to use it on. I think I may buy the book!
Thanks :)

I'm aparently slow on all things related to COB/COA/COG.... I was looking through Cassandra's website last night & found the first chapter for COG. Of course I read it! I was wondering what y'alls thoughts were on it?! this will be the end to this series, correct? so do you think she will resolve everything in this book? or keep us hanging? I also found a link to her new series that's in the works, the prequels to COB and so forth. They sound very, very interesting!

I don't exactly remember what the first chap. said, but I think that it will resolve MOST of the stuff in the book. The other series is more of a steampunk thing, set in the past, so that would probably actually only raise more questions, if anything.

Cassandra CLare likes to be confusing (this is what I tell myself), so she posts
different exerpts in diufferent places. Check out her myspace blog for some more. Looks like theres a new one for January I have to check out!

Yes, I got the whole confusing vibe as well! haha

The first chapter starts out with Clary getting ready to visit Idris with the rest of the shadowhunters, but Jace doesn't want her going because it's too dangerous. So he sets up a plan to ask Simon to lie to the rest of the shadowhunters speaking on behalf of Clary, that she does not want to go. It ends with a fight between demons (or something of that nature) and the shadowhunters... causing them to jump through the portal to escape. The final sentences were of Simon getting attacked. I'm wondering if Jace tries to help him by pulling him through the portal? or he stays to help him, seperating him from the other shadowhunters.

To be honest.. I just want Clary to come clean about her feelings for Jace so they can stop all the shananigans and just get it on already!! even if they are brother and sister, haha!

I will have to go check out her myspace page.... thanks for the info!

oh yeah. I remember that.

I don't think they are really related. I don't think Jace is Valentine's son. I believe that before the inquisitor died, she tried to tell Jace who he really is, but he didn't understand her. All will be solved in the end (i hope!)

Thats a good thought. I've kind of wondered the same thing myself. Here's to hoping!

ok I just checked Cassandra Clare's blog on her myspace page and read through all the cookies... WOAH! I think I just tortured myself! haha I'm trying to piece stuff together in CoG. But I know I should just stop. The suspense is killing me!!
