Cassandra Clare's Big Annoucements!

There's going to be a fourth Mortal Instruments book: City of Fallen Angels. It's all about Simon adjusting to being a vamp. Holy awesome!

AND ...there is a possibility of the series to be turned into movies!

From Cassandra Clare's Blog: The studio or production company in question is developing the books as a film project — right now they've nailed down financing and a screenwriter (I don't know who that is yet) and are working towards the next stages in the development project.

Read the details here.

    AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

What?!? This is crazy. And awesome. But we have to wait until March 2011? TORTURE!

It will be fun to see who they'd cast in the movie version. I just hope it doesn't disappoint like Twilight's movie did for me. Although - I have to say - even though I didn't love the movie, it didn't ruin the books for me at all (Breaking Dawn might have threatened to do that, but not the movie).

  2. I know! 2011 is forever from now.

But at least her new series, Infernal Devices (first book is called The Clockwork Angel) comes out fall of 2010. A year away... ugh, that's long too.

I am always disappointed in the movie version of books I've read. No one can ever recreate my imagination.
