That's the rumor. Crazy, brilliant, boring?Read more here.
I was gonna complain about it, but I MUCH prefer Vanessa to that annoying Brenda Swan. Ugh. To see her on a movie screen would make me kill myself.Theres an article on people.com today about how Taylor is still in the running for Jacob and they expect to announce it in the next week.
I have never watched Brena S. They both seem too sugary and pixie to pull off bitter Leah. And Vanessa as a werewolf makes me laugh.
I think Brenda is on the disney channel as a stuck up unintelligent rich girl on one of their shows. yeah, they both make me laugh too.and are either one of them close to being native american? or is it just because they have dark hair? If so, maybe I could audition for Leah?
I totally know who she is now! She's on that show where they live in a hotel? She's supposed to be like Paris Hilton kinda? Isn't she Asian? I could look this all up on the internet. I think you should audition for Leah! Then you can meet all the actors and make RobP fall totally in love with you and then he'll come hang out with us! Do it!
yeah, I could be wrong, but I'm fairly sure shes on suite life of zach and cody. and def. looks asian on the show.and of course the patzinator would fall in love with me... I should get on that.
haha.. y'all are too funny!I agree with Kari on the comment about Vanessa seeming too stuck up to play such a bitter character like Leah. This will be interesting....
I just saw on another blog they released the artwork for Twilight's dvd cover. Have they mentioned a release date for that?! It should be in the next few months, right?I could probably check this out myself, haha.
Ok I didn't find anything on Amazon, but I did sign up to get "notified" when it will be released, haha. While I was on Amazon I did find this review by someone about the movie and I found myself agreeing with a lot of what they had to say:***I understand that a movie is not going to be a page-by-page visual presentation of the book. It's a different medium. I get that. But they failed for other reasons. 1. the romance made no sense - Bella and Edward share a couple of brief, moderately unpleasant conversations, then are suddenly declaring their love for one another. Why??? Are they insane? The movie gives no context for this. The interactions were awkward and uncomfortable. Until they kiss. 2. Some of the changes were unnecessary and weird. Why doesn't Jacob explain the Cullens don't eat people? It makes Bella seem suicidal to go into the woods with a vampire if she doesn't know he is a "vegetarian." 3. I know this was low budget, but the makeup was so bad that it was extremely distracting. Why did Bella have eye makeup smeared under her eyes? Why oh why did a vampire (Edward) have five-o'clock shadow? The horrible dye jobs combined with craptastic pancake makeup made it hard for me to pay attention to Rosalie and Carlisle's characters, they looked that bad. 4. The continuity problems were distracting as well. For example, Bella has a bag in Port Angeles, and puts her new vampire book in it. Then when Edward drives her back to Forks, and she goes into the police station, she doesn't have her bag. The next scene shows her at home with the book. They cut some stuff that would have improved the movie -- or at least explained *why* Bella and Edward were falling in love, and they added some random crap. The diner scenes were a waste of time, although they did allow for the author to have a cameo. I understand why they added the extra "bad vamp" scenes, and those were good additions (to make it more movie-ish), but the diner scenes sucked. The phone calls to Renee were lame and unbelievable. There were some good parts. Alice was PERFECT. Really, the whole cast was GREAT. It was the script, directing and production that I had the most problems with. Some moments with Edward and Bella were totally cringeworthy, but I think that was more the director than the actors. I hope they all return for the sequel. I hope they do a better job on the second movie, now that they're going to have a real budget. They've got great actors - they just need a new screenwriter and/or a new director. And a totally new makeup department.***
let us know if you hear anything, GInger. I agree with most of what you just posted... except that Alice was perfect. She was ok, but I will never get past that damn hair!!!
I couldn't get past Jasper. I laughed everytime he came on screen. He looked like Edward Scissorhands!!
I know! As soon as I saw him, I kept thinking "Jasper Scissorhands!" Its all I could think of. Especially with the creepy expressions he kept making.
The first time Carlisle walked in the hospital room I wanted to shout out "Mike Dexter!!" haha
haha. I wanted to yell at him and tell him to fix his makeup. He had such a white face/tan neck syndrome. blech.
The best has got to be Eric when he showed up on screen... I wasn't aware his character was asain!! haha He was also rather annoying.
hahavanessa hudgens as a menopausal werewolf... i would pay some serious cash for a good laugh right there.yeah, eric was pretty annoying. to persistent :)<3mo
I think some 10 year old girl that has read the book must have said it somewhere because as if they would put a "disney" actor in. Or maybe they are trying to attract other ages to watch the film.I don't think Vanessa would be a good choice because she giggles and squeals and Leah is not like that at all.The only thing I don't want is New Moon : The Musical... :|
Hehe, New Moon: The Musical!
Oh, I already <3 New Moon: The Musical. I may have to begin work on the song list, as I did for Twilight: The Musical. :-DWe're soooooarin'...flyyyyyin'...I think VH as Leah would be hilarious. Would definitely test her acting skills. I told my students when I saw the notification e-mail of this pop up today, and they threw fits, though.
ya... um, to tell you the truth, I HATE VH. She's so annoying and isn't that good of an actor. Although seeing her as Leah will be funny. And to add to the make-up problem, Edwards white face didn't reach his hairline. So there was a small area on the forhead that was tan, while the face was white. kind of funny.I'm going to go out on a limb and say this (please don't hunt me down and kill me in my sleep):RPatz wasn't that good... unless the director told him to be like that because his face was either way angry, way in pain, way expressionless or way something else. I'm going to hope it was the director though. Not to mention his lines were delivered weird. Espeacily the "heroin" one. Wasn't it supposed to be in a more joking tone?GTG finish my homework now.
I didn't think he was very good either. Not even as eye candy. sigh.
Take away the book and look at Twilight as just a movie, and nothing else. It would have SUCKED. Sorry if thats harsh, but thats how I feel about it. Don't get me wrong.. I love the story.. I love the actors who tried their best to portray it... but in general as a motion picture, it was flat and very very awkward.I'm a little uneasy about New Moon and Eclipse when those are put into a movie. Will it leave me feeling the same? or will it be that much worse? I'm hoping with a new director it will help. But how much can one man do?! ya know?
I do know!I IMBd'd New Moon and I saw 2 things.1- only part of the cast looks to be signed on again so far.2- Twilight the DVD is coming out in.... wait for it... March 2009.Now the next Maximum Ride book is coming out in March, the DVD is, I get March Break and something else I was waiting for that's coming out in March but I forget what it was...thank you people for agreeing with me. I was afraid I was going to be chased out with pitch-forks!
City of Glass comes out in March too!!
MARCH!!!!!!!!!!! Holy crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!sorry 'bout the out burst but Brenda Song or Venessa Hudgens should not play Leah, BECAUSE, VH is a horrible actress and if you saw her in High School Musical, you would think so too.And Brenda Song is in an other show called The Suit Life Of Zack And Cody, where, yes Alison, she does play a snobby rich girl, not dissing them but it would be better if they got someone who we have never herd of.Grimm, out♥:)
it might be better grimm, but then this person whom we had never heard of probably wouldn't be experienced and would end up having the same problem as RPatz and Kristen Stewart, unwanted fame that they're not prepared for.Although I still wouldn't want VH or Brenda Song to be anywhere close to the filming of NM or Eclipse. Not even BD if they decide to make it._ _vv
I remembered the other book that's coming out.Awakening - Kelley ArmstrongIt's the second book in the Summoning series._ _vv
Thanks for the info Z~Z. That sounds familiar (and I can picture the book)... Trying to remember if I read it..
oooh is awakening good? i live in australia so im not up with all the good stuff :(i really hope taylor lautner stays as jacob and i would hate to see VH play Leah...anyway Leah will have short hair...Leah needs to be strong and everything and not so feminine...and that Brenda chik would not work........Leah is native american! geez! not asian or thai or whatever...and anyway disney ruins everythig and HSM sucks...I can't wait for the Twilight DVD to come out!!!!but i personally think the film makers did pretty crap...also the cullen's house was NOT what i pictured it to be like... :(.by michaela.
oh so is taylor lautner staying as jacob?!??!?!?!?thats awesome if he is!!!!!i LOVE him!!!!!but how will they make him heaps taller and bigger and musclier?????????????they cant use stilts!this will be interestingi LOVE him!!!!!!.by michaela.
