Sad News for the Buffy/Angel World

I'm a huge Buffy/Angel fan, and I saw this on Perez today that made me a bit teary eyed. The actor that played Lorne on Angel passed away! I loved his character on Angel, he was a demon who could read people's mind/emmotions when they sang karaoke. It was always a good episode when Angel was forced to sing. check out the blog HERE

Rob Quote of the Day

This made me say, "aww"

This is his responce to a question on "first love"

Yes. It’s weird to enjoy your first love, especially if the relationship lasts a long time. Our relationship was really beautiful, but we didn’t have an obsessive love like in the movie. Her presence in my life made me very happy for three years. Now it’s kind of hard to talk about it.

Seriously? Vampire rumors at a Boston School...

Twilight' Comes To Life? Vampire Rumors Hit Boston School
Police were called to the high school due to rumors of a bloodsucker invasion — seriously.

By Larry Carroll

In Stephenie Meyer's imagination, Forks High School is a bustling place where students go to classes and proms, oblivious to the fact that handsome-but-deadly bloodsuckers walk amongst them. But could Edward and the other Cullens really be hanging out these days at one of America's oldest high schools? Or are the students similarly letting their imaginations run wild?

On Wednesday, police were called to Boston Latin School, a nearly 400-year-old public school whose prestigious alumni include Ben Franklin, Sam Adams, John Hancock and Sumner Redstone. The reason? Rumors were running wild that the school had been infiltrated by vampires.

"I seek your cooperation in redirecting your energy toward the learning objectives of the day. Please do not sensationalize or discuss these rumors," pleaded the school's headmaster, Lynne Mooney Teta, in a notice sent to faculty, students and parents on Thursday (March 26) addressing "rumors involving 'vampires.' "

According to The Boston Globe, gossip recently began spreading throughout the high school that vampires were at Boston Latin. The headmaster issued the notice after becoming concerned that some students' safety might be jeopardized, particularly if they were accused of being members of the undead.

"I'm not sure whether [the supposed vampires] were among the student body or whether they were inhabiting the old corners and crevices of the building," Officer Eddy Chrispin, a Boston Police spokesman, said after police went to the school Wednesday. "We did go over there and speak to some of the students and quelled the rumors that were going and kind of told them the effect those rumors could have on the rest of the student population."

Whether the supposed vampires are as good-looking as Edward, Rosalie and the other Cullens remains to be seen, but this much is certain: With "Twilight" selling more than 3 million DVDs in one day and midnight DVD-release parties occurring all over the country, there are a lot of bleary-eyed Twilighters out there who might have watched a few too many deleted scenes.

Then again, in Meyer's books, the Cullens had to move to new high schools frequently, perpetually reinventing themselves as students since their looks were frozen in time. And since it is a gloomy, overcast time of the year in Boston right now ... nah.

Why Ryah Hates KStew (I hope you don't mind me posting this!)

Ryah emailed me a little while ago with an exerpt from a interview she was reading in US magazine.

This is what Kristen had to say...

Q: Have you ever thought about other jobs? recording an album?

A: Actors who go into music-I hate them! And I can't make stuff. I'm not good at anything besides acting.

Robert Pattinson Injured on the set?

This may just be a rumor: HERE

UPDATE: Surprise! This was a rumor–

Robert Pattinson was not injured during the shooting for “The Twilight Saga’s New Moon”. Quick to throw cold water to the circulating report was the “Twilight” star’s representative. “This story is completely false. Robert has not been injured in any way and no version of the story ever occurred,” the rep said as quoted by Radar Online.

Love Stinks

Say it ain't so, Perez!

Happy City of Glass Day!

I've just reserved my copy at Barnes and Noble, and on my way to pick it up! Happy Reading!

Twilight Commentary

Kari, Erin and I (with the babies and Finn)watched the Twilight DVD commentary today. I have to say that Rob is priceless, and it is worth a watch just to hear his lovely voice and humor. It felt kinda awkward to me though to listen to Catherine, cause she is still so excited about the film and proud of it (and kudos to her for that) but Kristen really gives some back-handed comments about the directing of the film. If you go HERE to EW they have a list of more highlights from the commentary.

Some of my own highlights from wathing the commentary today are:

1. How many times Rob fixates on his eyebrows (it could be another drinking game for us...kool-aid, i mean of course)
2. The way Rob says, bouffant
3. Hearing that they heart Charlie/Billy Burke as much as I do
4. Rob's comment in the scene when he's SPEEDING away from the Frat boys- if you look out the window, you can see that they are actually going VERY slow, Rob says: " I love that, how I'm driving 2 miles an hour," Pattinson says. "'Slow down!' 'I can't go any slower!'"

New Moon Set News, Week 2

The New Moon cast and crew have finished up shooting the cliff diving/beach scenes and now appear to be shooting the scenes that take place at the Black residence. No pics have appeared yet, but below is a quote from someone who got close to the action:

I went by Jake’s house last night to see if I could get a few pics of Bella’s truck for my collection and they were full on filming there! I got to see Taylor and Kristen standing in black rain jackets being talked to a few of the set guys and the guy who plays Billy Black (Birmingham?) walking around in a white, blue and black polar fleece with his signature hat. I couldent snap any pics because the set was guarded by POLICE!!! They blocked off all of [redacted] and part of [redacted] in [redacted] for this but seeing that the set is on the corner of the cross streets I was able to slow down to look.

City of Glass--Who plans to buy it on the 24th?

I know many of us are highly anticipating the new Cassandra Clare book. I know I am! So I was curious who was getting it and when.

Also, I was thinking that if any of our readers start on it and have questions or topics about the book they want to discuss, they could post them in this thread, and we will start a new thread for your topic (to make sure we can discuss what everyone thinks is interesting/relevant). This would be in addition to our posts about to book, obvs. ;)

Additionally, we will do our best to post "SPOILER" on topics that will surely cause some spoiling.

I, for one, have not yet decided when I will purchase/read the book. While I am on pins and needles, and have been looking forward to this for a long time, I am also going on vaca the first week of April, and might want to save the book for the plane. ... but maybe I can't wait that long!

Rob Quote(s) of the Day

Below are some quotes that come from Rob off of the Twilight DVD Commentary-I'm definately looking forward to watching the movie with the commentary!

"Never trust a guy who plucks his eyebrows."

"I have so many inexplicable facial expressions in this movie."

"I had pecs for about two days. Everyone would hate me. Just look at me walking around with my little peacoat on. My little customized pea coat."

"Sometimes I think I look like I’ve had facial reconstructive surgery. Like after burns."

"I hate people who cry around me. I'm not friends with them anymore. Especially girls. Cuz girls are crying all the time. It's like, 'Shut up.' But I was crying over something legitimate. A movie."

"I'd love to be able to fit in a box. Like one of those people who fit into small boxes. I'd love it."

[Scene in the forest where Edward asks Bella, "What do we eat?"]: "Cheeseburgers."

[Scene where Edward shows off his sparkly body]: "I'm sorry, Bella. I'm just like a sweaty guy."

"I notice I have one of those butt chins. Like a nubbin."

Edi gets Onsies confused with Snuggies

Excitement is growing for the DVD release this Saturday! I know I'm going to go straight over to Walmart on Sat morning to get the DVD and board game! On Sunday we are going to have a little shin-dig for Jill and her pregnancy- and I'm excited to try out the game with the SVC Coven leaders :)

duh!

So, we've all been wondering how they are going to incorporate Edward into the New Moon script more, and I just want to say a big- DUH!!! I can't believe this didn't occur to me. All those times that Bella "hears" Edwards voice, she will really see him, and they will probably elaborate on those moments.

"Of course they threw Rob in there! He comes in as a flittering image to tell Bella not to do anything reckless and then you have him at the very beginning at school, at the party when he’s saying goodbye to her and the flitterring images and in Italy as well, so they’ll get their fix."- ashley greene (alice)

The best Kristen interview yet!

This is from MTV Canada- if you don't know these two, Jessi and Dan, they are my fave! I don't watch the show The Hills, but I do watch the aftershow that these two do about it, cause they are hilarious.

Because I am nosy

In a recent comment, Ginger mentioned being at work, and then I found myself wondering what she does for a living. I feel like we do get to know each other to some extent through our posts on here, and I wanted to know a bit more. Maybe we have done this before, I don't remember, but if you feel comfortable, tell us a little about yourself. Don't feel obligated to share--I understand not wanting to give out info to people you don't really know. But I would love to get to know the rest of the coven a bit more.

Question of the Week

Maggie brought up a good question!

Whose going to buy the Twilight DVD this Saturday?

I AM!!!!!

I even did a little research on which "Special Edition" to buy, since both Target, Walmart, Amazon and Borders are all claiming to have a Exclusive Special Edition. For the most part they all have the same extras as far as extended scene and deleted scenes- Borders has also added all the videos that they have had on their website of comic-con and the bookclub vids they did with Steph. With Target's you get free I-tunes download of the Movie. Amazon's special edition is the- Blue Ray version, you get ALOT of extra stuff like a jewlery box, pictures, etc...

Some comments on New Moon by Mike Dexter

I read this on newmoonmovie.org

"He talked to us about the script for New Moon and said he was happy with it. He mentioned his concerns at a man directing a story told from a woman’s (Bella’s) viewpoint, but how he was then totally reassured after meeting Chris Weitz the director. My favourite bit of insiders gossip that he gave us was one of the stage directions. In the New Moon script it says ‘the sunlight catches Edward’s skin and we see him sparkle’ ,it then says in brackets underneath (BUT BETTER THAN IN TWILIGHT) I guess they really are trying to improve the special effects!"

More NM rumors...this one is too much!

Is just saw this on "Pink is the new Blog"- who knows hoe true it is, but the only role I can see that would remotely be ok is that of the volturi receptionist...

Paris Hilton is reportedly “desperate” to appear in New Moon, the second instalment in the Twilight saga. According to Star, the heiress has been calling the film’s leading man Robert Pattinson “constantly” in an attempt to land a role in the vampire sequel. “She has also had her manager call the casting agent to lobby for a part on her behalf,” PA quotes a source as telling the magazine. Hilton, who recently admitted that she was fan of the franchise, is allegedly “desperate for people to take her seriously as an actress”. The insider added: “She thinks she’d be perfect to play one of the vampires. She’s even willing to play a victim - she just wants in.” Production on New Moon, which is being directed by Chris Weitz, has just begun in Vancouver, which a scheduled release date of November.

The back-tracking has started

Kristen says in the new issue of Collider Mag:
When asked what she thought about the bad press she’s been getting in the wake of her Nylon interview, Stewart is adamant that her words are being taken out of context—professing, believably might I add—to having nothing but the utmost respect and care for the Twilight story and situation as a whole. “I love the Twilight fans. I have literally never said anything remotely negative about them,” she told us.

So all the hullaballoo? She attributed that to learning the ropes about what is going to read in print and what isn’t. “You have to stay away from certain key words that can be twisted in a negative connotation. Like the word ‘psychotic’ apparently is really bad,” she said, provoking laughter around the table.

“I feel like it’s a really humble position to take that it’s not normal—you know what I mean?—to find yourself in a situation where there are 5,000 screaming girls. I feel like that’s not normal and it’s not something I should just say, ‘Oh yeah, it’s really cool, I love them,’” she continued. “I feel like everything I said in that Nylon interview, if you actually read the whole thing, was very honest and genuine and talking about something that I am so immersed in and I have absolutely no control over. And I’m just trying to stay honest and true to something that I care about.”

Rob Pic of the Day

I just saw this on Perez- he thinks it's fake- but it could be one of the "wardrobe/character" shots that they take in the begining of production. It screams Italy scene to me. (I don't think Perez has read the books.)It could very well be nothing- but i like it.
