Saoirse Ronan to Star in The Host

According the sources, Saoirse Ronan (from Lovely Bones) is set to play the lead (Wanderer?) in The Host. Am I the only one who didn't know they were making The Host into a movie? I'm actually pretty excited about seeing this book on the big screen. Now who's going to play Jared?

I think it has the potential to be a good movie. I guess she sold the rights to the novel, according to ew.com/ew.

I need someone to explain this to me...

I've just visited SM's website and the latest post has me tilting my head in question. What is the reasoning behind THIS??? Is there some sort of fascination with The Host for the skateboarding world?? it seems so weird to me- what do you think?

I may have accidently gotten a "soul name"

This past weekend when Ellen and I were hanging at the pool (ellen is one of the downs-syndrome gals I live with) I was lazily floating in the pool when the dog came over and started to lick my face. ellen thought this was hilarious, and started to call me "dog lick face girl" ....now this wouldn't normally be anything, but I immediately thought of how this sounded like a soul name and, she hasn't stopped calling me that for three days now.
