However, I wanted to focus this post on the serendipitous development of the SVC. On April 13, 2008 (I know because I saved the Facebook message between Alison and me), I got to know some of the best lady-husbands and friends I could ask for when the SVC was formed! And what a glorious day it was.
As 2008 comes to a close, I'd like to name just a few of the SVC's major accomplishments:
- a website, tshirts, logos and playlists...not to mention totally awesome RPattz fridge magnets
- several awesome karaoke appearances, including "Hitch Me Baby (One More Time)" and "La...Push It!"
- meeting SM herself at the Mall of America signing of The Host
- the Borders midnight release event for Breaking Dawn
- new vampire lairs (new states, houses AND the Front with DJ Dirty Duke)
- some baby vampires on the way (our own Renesmees! Awww!)
- a crazy-fun and giggly midnight movie premiere of Twilight
- several other awesome fantasy books, especially City of Bones and City of Ashes
- innumerable photos with SVC fangs, especially at karaoke, dancing, and NKOTB concerts
- many, many new friends here at SVC!
I am looking forward to reminiscing on New Year's Eve with the other coven leaders at my lair. I am so thankful for you ladies! Happy New Year!
