Question of the Day

I was thinking about reading Twilight ...again. I've forgotten little things and I kinda miss it. This will mark the fifth time I've read the series (not including the countless times I've read just my favorite parts). It got me wondering -- is it normal to read a book so many times? How many times have you re-vamped the series? Is there another series that you've read more than once?

13 enjoyed the bouquet.:

I have only read books 1-3 twice. I only skimmed book 4.

As far as other series read more then once, Mortal Instuments, and of course Harry Potter.

Yes, the only other book series I've read more than once is the Mortal Instruments. I think I've read CoB 3x, CoA 2x and CoG once.

I've read Twi, NM, and Ecpls three times each, and BD only twice.

A series that I've read many times over is the Narnia Choronicals. (i think i've read the whole series 4xs)

I have read Twilight 4 times, NM and EC, 3x and BD 2x. This is really the first SERIES I've read more than once however I have my all time FAVE book that I have read over and over again since I was probably 12. I think I've read it probably at least 10 times. The book is called Paint the Wind by Cathy Cash Spellman

Oh yeah, the first 2 Mortal Instruments books I read twice and the third just Once!

I have no idea how many times I've read the series, but I did read this other book at least 7 times. Of course by the end I was quoting the book all the time because I'd partly memorized it... XD

I think I have read the series (I only count 1-3) twice. I have been wanting to re-read the first three again. My m.o. is to re-read series when the next book comes out. So Harry potter and COG/A.

But it's like watching movies over again. There are certain ones I can watch time and time again, and others I just want to watch once (and as the case for BD--ones I never wished I had spent the time on).

I have no idea how many times I've read the Twilight saga, b/c I've never re-read them from start to finish. But gauging by how often I've re-read various parts, I'd say I've read them 3-4 times?

I love to re-read. When I was little I always read and re-read Babysitter's Club books. Same with Mary Higgins Clark mysteries. I re-read To Kill a Mockingbird probably once a year. There are quite a few others, and I'll prob re-read the Black Dagger Brotherhood ones. I love 'em.

Good call Erin- I will def be rereading the blck dagger books over! i've already reread Zsadist's book. I've found that there are things I've missed or forgotten that are crucial in other books.

i've found myself obsessively watching the movie. if nothing else is on (and this happens a lot), i'll turn it on. and each time i watch it i discover that it is more ridiculous than the last time i watched it. but i can't stop myself. what gives?

I have read the twilight series like, 2 or 3 times over!

I have no clue how many times I've read the Twilight series. I'm like Erin, I've re-read bits & pieces. I seriously want to read New Moon again though, from start to finish. I only read that book once b/c I loaned it to my sister & she had it for about 3 months (she's a slow reader!). So I've forgotten a lot, and plus I felt like I was missing a lot of important details b/c I kept searching & waiting for Edward to come back!

I know I'll read the Mortal Instruments again. They are too good to only read once.

I've read the series, um, three times I think. Eclipse four. (Don't ask.) I end up rereading almost every series that I read.

I usually re-read a good book around once, or just my favorite parts; really good books maybe 3 times, over a long period of time if i don't have anything at all to do

Okay, I am pretty sure I've read far,far past the point where I lost track of how many times I've re-read the Twilight saga...
...And I lost track at around 8 or 9 times
What? You say "obsessed" like it's a BAD thing!
