I have found that I enjoy when TV Shows, Books, and other Movie's reference the Twilight world. Last night while watching the show The Middle there was one, and I just loved it! Last nights episode focused on the daughter, Sue, who has a crush on her older brother's friend. At one point she is so obsessed with him that she can't stop thinking about him and shouts at her mother
"Ah! I'm just going to shut myself in my room and read Eclipse... not even that may work!!"
Just too funny!
So, my question is this: Where in everyday life, or pop culture have you come across a Twilight reference that made you laugh, smile, or shake your head??
Here is a clip from last nights show, unfortunately it doesn't have that line in it.

Quote of the Day & Question of the Week (and of course a hot pic must be thrown in here too)
"Damon would be more like the barber of Fleet Street [a la "Sweeney Todd"]. He would be the guy who sings as he cuts people's arms off…Full, Johnny Depp style."
My question is this-- What would a Vampire Diaries musical look like to you? Any ideas?

Question of the Week: Setting Unrealistic Expectations?
Saw this on The Frisky this afternoon:
"...it’s ruining the next generation of women by teaching them that guys should be moody jerks who twinkle in the sunlight while being borderline abusive due to an insatiable bloodlust..."
Thoughts? They have a list of ten movie characters that set unrealistic expections of men by women at the above link. Does anyone really expect their husband to be Edward? Does anyone even WANT him to be?
For me, I just love the feeling of brand-new love in the book. I don't get so much of that after being with my husband for ten years (married for five), so it's nice to live vicariously. But if Matt even THOUGHT about taking on some of Edward's obsessive tendencies, I'd have to hire a werewolf hitman. ;-)

Vamp Diaries Episode 5 Chat & Question of the Week!

So- I got a little confused and thought that there was not a new episode this week, but there was! I just watched it and I am really captivated by this show. This week Elena is getting super close to figuring out what Stefan and Damon are, and it looks like next week Stephan tells her!
This week we saw a member of the Salvatore family die, unfortunately I saw this one comming. When someone tells you not to go down into a basement becuase a psycho vamp is being kept down there- um hello!? you DON'T go down there. I loved the moment when the old man recognized Stefan. The carwash was way too sterio-typical teen movie/tv scene. I don't know what school this day-in-age would allow such skimpy outfits to be worn during a carwash, same thing was on Glee recently too. I have to say that my very favorite thing about Vamp Diaries thus far is the fact that Stefan can do the angsty face without looking like he's constipated...which Edward has yet to pull of in the movies as far as I am concerned. (though I do still love Rob, he needs to take some pointers from Paul)
QOW: I'm curious to hear what people's responces are to the way that Damon attacks his prey- it definately is not the nice and neat puncture holes that we've previously become accustomed too. Do you like the viciousness of it or would you prefer a more graceful drink from the neck?
