Perez Hilton is reporting that Ian Somerhalder was caught talking about what his character Vampire Diaries character, Damon would be like in a musical version of the show:

"Damon would be more like the barber of Fleet Street [a la "Sweeney Todd"]. He would be the guy who sings as he cuts people's arms off…Full, Johnny Depp style."

My question is this-- What would a Vampire Diaries musical look like to you? Any ideas?

Hey all! I've missed you, I've been horrendous with blogging this Summer-- but as Fall starts I have vowed to be more active. Im so excited for the premier of Vamp Diaries tonite!! I've been watching Season One all week to get ready for it, and I adore this show even more watching it a second time around! I can't believe how many Tyler forseshadowings there are leading up to the Season One cliff hanger!!! Like literally in one Matt asks Tyler what his deal is (why he's such an Ass), and Tyler responds with he doesn't know-- AND then the camera pans over to the FULL MOON in the sky and holds there!!! And that's in the middle of last season, so obvious now!

So enjoy the season premier, I hear it's going to Epic-- and come back here for discussion! I've got my notebook and pen ready to take notes :)

Vamp Diaries Season 2 - Sept. 9th!

Set your dvr's... or if you're like me make no plans on Thursday, Sept. 9th because the new season of Vampire Diaries starts and I am SO FREAKING EXCITED for it!!

Looking ahead to next year-- wht do you think will go down? My hope/prediction for next year is that they keep this "is it elena or is it katherine?" thing going for a bit longer, I think they could have some fun with it.

Vampire Diaries -- Eps. 19, 20, 21

So I know we're a few episodes behind in here... but I didn't want anyone thinking we forgot! SO much has happened.. and tonight's episode was AWESOME!

I know Jes does an awesome job breaking each episode down and proposing really good questions... but my mind is blank right now. So I thought I'd leave it open to whatever you want to discuss ???

Just to refresh...

Eps. 19: Miss Mystic Falls
At the Founder's Day Gala, Elena and Caroline compete for the title of "Miss Mystic Falls" against other girls from town. Elena is happy to have Bonnie back in town, but Bonnie still has issues to work through. John Gilbert attempts to intimidate Damon, but his plan doesn't have the desired effect. Damon discovers that Stefan is hiding a dangerous secret that could impact everyone in town.

Eps. 20: Blood Brothers
While Stefan struggles to come to terms with his past, both he and Damon reveal parts of their history to Elena, until she finally learns the truth about how they became vampires. Pearl has an ugly confrontation with Johnathan Gilbert. Damon and Alaric try to find a mysterious invention before Johnathan does. The friendship and flirtation between Jeremy and Anna continues to grow.

Eps. 21: Isobel
Isobel returns to town and stuns Alaric with her attitude and her demands that he arrange a meeting with Elena. When mother and daughter finally meet, Isobel refuses to answer most of Elena's questions, but reveals that she will stop at nothing to find the mysterious invention Johnathan Gilbert has been searching for. Isobel's dangerous actions lead Stefan, Damon and Bonnie to step in and help Elena deal with the situation.

Vampire Diaries Episode 18, Chat & Discuss

Update!: Ok, so I thought of somethings that I really did enjoy about this episode, and they all involve Stefan :)
Once again we had a scene that was very Twilighty with the whole Stefan and Elena making out on the bed until he flew himself off of her into the wall-- Hooray for Paul Wesley for doing that scene justice and definitely better than Rob and Kristen's version.
Also, truly the hottest Stefan moment was when he hugged Elena tight and said "I love you so much" -- it really comes down to the fact that I love a man in his vulnerable state, if he had shed some tears it would have put me over the edge, in a good way ;)


On the eve of tomorrow nights episode, I was thinking that it might be a good idea to discuss last weeks epi! (I usually get some badgering to post, and did not this week, so I kinda kept putting off- oops!)



Hottest Stefan Moment:
This is the episode when we are introduced to "bad vamp" Stefan-- which I guess really just means "lush vamp" Stefan. I kinda was disappointed in this chance for Stefan to be reckless, I was kinda hoping he would step outside of the "good" box a little more...instead he was just a bully, but the type that doesn't follow thru with his bullying at the last moment-- that seems weird for me to be disappointed in, but I was looking forward to some good role reversal here. I was kinda wanting him to go off the deep end before we welcome our dear good vamp back. So, his hottest moment? I would have to say it was those glimpses we got to see of him dancing at the party in the background- it was cute.

Best Damon Line:(it's so hard to pick just one!)
Elena: How long until he's back to normal.
Damon: A few days, give or take.
Elena: It's been a few days.
Damon: Give then? I don't know.

Shock of the Episode:
Other than me being thoroughly disappointed in Stefan's "dangerous side"-- though I probably shouldn't be... I would say that the big surprise of the episode is the mystery with Uncle John- we are left wondering how he knows Katherine and Isobel and in what capacity?? hmmmmm...? Any theories?
And in true teen TV fashion, we've got the running storyline of Matt and his angst with his washed-up-no-good mother, and Tyler has his daddy issues too, and Jeremy read his sister's diary. Plus, what do you all think of Elena and Damon's growing friendship??

Vampire Diaries Episode 17, Chat & Question of the Week

Holy Crap! Can we just skip to the last scene of last nights episode?!?
This show is taking an interesting turn with Stefan, and I think I am going to enjoy the ride! I love the idea of Stefan loosing himself to some blood lust, it really was only a matter of time- right?!
So let's get to it!

Hottest Stefan Moment: There really wasn't one in this episode, I mean we got to see him without his shirt on, but he was being tortured-- so I can't take any real pleasure in that. But he stole the show with that look he has on his face at the end of the episode, when Damon walks in on him after he has sucked down a couple pints of blood!! I mean, woah!! Caught me off guard, and I LOVED it!

Best Damon Line: There really were so many in this episode, here is my personal fave:
"But you can't deny, we were badass" (spoken to Alaric)
Really, once again this was Damon's show. I loved how he and Alaric pulled together to form their own little "scoobie team" to fight the badie vamps.

Surprises and such: Well come on!!!! Stefan is now going to be interesting, he's tasted Elena's blood and who knows how or when he will come back from his new approaching dark side??? Can't wait for next week!! The promo is fantastic!



Really, what we learned in this episode was that, yes indeed, DAMON LOVES STEFAN <3
oh, and btw, the storm in this episode was pretty lame-- if you looked at the actual storm itself, it was pretty tame rain fall-- not worthy of the damage it did in certain scenes (i laughed out loud when the branch fell onto Elena's car--cause their was like no wind). Oh yes, and Vicki's body was found, which to be honest I am kind of surprised that they went there with the storyline and didn't keep her disappeared... will finding her body play out more in the coming episodes? or did they just want to close off that thread?

Question: What do you think about this new turn of events for Stefan??

Vampire Diaries Review and Chat for Epis 15 & 16

I sat down to write last weeks review and chat, had it all written out and was looking for a pic to post with it, when I lost it all-- boo. So, i apologize if this post is not up to par, I can't find the notes I used last week-- However, let's get to the good stuff, our Salvatore Brothers are back in our weekly lives! woohoo!

Epi 15: A Few Good Men
Best Stefan Moment: This episode was lacking in hot Stefan moments I felt, but I think what it came down to was that Damon's naked torso scene was going to trump any Stefan moment in this episode! Can we say, HOLY CRAP! I actually really did say "HOLY CRAP!" When Damon walked onto my screen with that beautiful torso of his, so incredibly sexy.
I do have to say, however, that Stefan has such incredibly great little looks that he gives to Elena. My fave moment of his was when he spied Elena at the Auction, and gave her a wave from across the room-- it was a small moment, but one that made me say "ahhhh". Love him.

Best Damon Line: There were a ton of great lines from Damon this week (it really was a Damon episode). My fave:
"What can i do for you, I'm a barrel full of favors today. I might have found a purpose, how can I help people."

Biggest Surprise: Was obviously the fact that Alaric cannot be killed. I knew that ring was something special-- and now we know that he got it from Isobel-- Oh yes, and Isobel is a vampire and Elena's birth mother...SURPRISE!! Though I have to say, the biggest surprise for me, was the horrifically awful death scene with Trudy falling down the stairs-- that was just pitiful, I've come to expect better death scenes than that from this show.

Question for this Episode: Now that we know who Elena's mother is, do you think her biological father will come into play at all in the future?


Epi 16: There Goes The Neighborhood:

Hottest Stefan Moment: This whole episode. I kept think through out this epi, that Stefan really is the antithesis of Edward. I love, love, love Edward, but Stefan is slowly but surely creeping into his place. Just for the way that Stefan is with Matt-- it was refreshing to see a guy not jealous or threatened by a past boyfriend, but Stefan is actually very understanding towards Matt-- People have claimed Edward to be the perfect guy/vamp-- but really it is Stefan Salvatore that is the perfect guy/vamp in my book.

Best Damon line: Last weeks episode was so full of hot Damon, so I'm going to say that it is ok, that this epi lacked in Damon moments. Pretty much he just got his ass kicked (and eyes gouged) and then got drunk...not much hotness in this epi. We pretty much just learned that our Vamps are not the toughest vamps out there anymore. Anna's mother can kick ass. Best Line:
"There is no way in hell I am going to play your little minon."

Surprises and such: We've now learned that all the vamps escaped the Tomb and are learning to text in a house in the woods. We know that Anna's mother wants to reclaim Mystic Falls, Damon thinks that this sounds like a ridiculous idea, it is no longer the 1800's after all. What kind of domination is she planning?
Jeremy has it in his head that he wants to be turned-- is this because he thinks that Vicky is still a vamp? Does he like Anna at all in a "more than friends" way? What are your thoughts and observations?

Vamp Diaries Update!

I just spent the last 1/2 hour typing up my post, and then lost it!!!

Vampire Diaries Epi 14: Fool Me Once

This was a big episode! To be totally honest I didn't see the ending coming, and kudos to the writers for that!




Best Damon Line: This episode did lack in witticism from our dear snarky hunk of a vamp, but where Damon lacked in sarcasm he made up for in pure heartbreaking facial expressions. I love this vamp, and I felt his agony in the fact that Katherine was not in the tomb-- didn't see that one coming. I probably should have, but I couldn't imagine the boys not being aware of her or running into her at some point in all these years since the tomb has been closed.
best line of the night from Damon: "Fool me once, shame on you."

Hottest Stefan Moment: Once again I give out a "Most like a Buffy show" award-- when he picked up that fire blaster and aimed it at Sean Ferris (no clue what his character name was--oh, Ben)Holy crap! He was so hot!

Biggest Surprise of the Epi:I think that the whole tomb experience was a bit of a shock-- I've been wondering what would actually happen, what the experience would actually be when the tomb was open. I thought it was true to vampire lore that the trapped vamps were just wasted shells of them self and yet still alive. I think the tomb scenes were done well-- The big shocker of the epi was the fact that: KATHERINE WAS NOT IN THE TOMB! And even more crazy, she has been around, just wanting/caring to see Damon. I am positive that there is more to it than that, but that's what we are to believe at this moment, since that is what Damon is feeling/thinking.

Other Observations: I got a strong Bells/Twilight feeling when Jeremy got up from his bed at the end of the epi and started a google search on vampires. I wanted some crazy Twilighty soundtrack music to be playing in the background.

Discussion Question: I think we are all wondering about Katherine and what the story is with her-- BUT I find myself wondering about Bonnie and how the death of her grandma will affect her after she has died from doing a spell she pretty much begged/pleaded her grandma to do even when she didn't want to/ What are all your thoughts on that? Do you think Bonnie will turn all Bad witch on us, like "Black Evil Willow (buffy reference)?

Finally- I'm blogging about Vamp Diaries!!

I've just watched the Episode "Children of The Damned" where we learn how the vamps of the olden days got caught and what it was exactly that tore Damon and Stefan apart. Here are my thoughts:

Best Damon Quote of the epi:
"If I see something I haven't seen before, I'll throw a dollar at it."

Hottest Stefan moment:
There were quite a few moments where we got to see our beloved Stefan shirtless, but for some reason I found the moment where he caught the spike shot by Alaric extremely hot.

Biggest surprise of the epi:
I'm sure we were supposed to be surprised about Ana, or the fact that the "Grimawar" had been buried with the boys dad this whole time-- But I find most of the scenes with Alaric surprising, mostly because every time he's in a scene I feel like I am watching a new episode of Buffy and it makes me feel all warm and cozy (i miss that show)... but I wasn't expecting to hear that his wife may actually be a vamp. I have some high hopes for this part of the storyline and think that there could be some interesting developments as we get to know Alaric more... I'm still really curious about his ring (is it just verbane? or something more significant?)

The Vampire Diaries Marathon!

For those of you who missed out on The Vampire Diaries this fall (ERIN!!) the CW is replaying all episodes this week starting at 7pm (central time) and another episode following that one. It starts TONIGHT! so get your DVR's ready :-)

Vamp Diaries Episode 6 Chat & Question of the Week!

So far I am not a fan of the CW's site for the show. On Saturday I finally had sometime to watch the show and the new episode was nowhere to be found and they had the wrong descriptions up for the two epis that they did have available, lame. So I had to resort to downloading it from iTunes, though as I write this Epi 6, Lost Girls, is up and running on the CW site now, figures.

I loved the episode this week! And yes, Vicki is now a vamp, people guessed right! I have to say that I was surprised that Stefan told Elena about him being a vampire- I was expecting the show to draw out Elena finding out the truth for atleat the length of the season, but I applaud that this is not the case! I was pleased with the way that Stefan told Elana the truth, it felt real and didn't leave any real questions dangling in the air about if he was good or bad.

What did surprise me was the fact that Vicki was running around in such an interesting choice of apparel for most of the Epi...pale pink panties? Evey time she turned around I thought we were seeing bare ass on prime time tv.

I have to applaud the performance by the actor that plays Damon- I loved all his facial nuances throughout the show, especially when he gave his arm to Vicki to drink the first time and then rested his head on top of hers.
We did learn a lot in this episode- I have to say that I did not see Kathryn as the sire to the boys! I had this other idea in my head, though I wasn't sure how the boys had become vamps. Did any of you see that one coming?

Oh yes, and the dumb moment of the week goes to the idea of a Vampire Compass...seriously? Did they really think that it was a good idea to go into the dark woods with a Vamp compass to guide the way? Wouldn't it have made more sense to use it in the daylight to find the lair? Did they think that there was one Vamp? Well, I was glad to see the moron tv guy die.

QOW: Why do you think Damon turned Vicki? Just for fun and chaos like it seemed or do you think it's leading up to a plan?

Vamp Diaries Episode 5 Chat & Question of the Week!

So- I got a little confused and thought that there was not a new episode this week, but there was! I just watched it and I am really captivated by this show. This week Elena is getting super close to figuring out what Stefan and Damon are, and it looks like next week Stephan tells her!

This week we saw a member of the Salvatore family die, unfortunately I saw this one comming. When someone tells you not to go down into a basement becuase a psycho vamp is being kept down there- um hello!? you DON'T go down there. I loved the moment when the old man recognized Stefan. The carwash was way too sterio-typical teen movie/tv scene. I don't know what school this day-in-age would allow such skimpy outfits to be worn during a carwash, same thing was on Glee recently too. I have to say that my very favorite thing about Vamp Diaries thus far is the fact that Stefan can do the angsty face without looking like he's constipated...which Edward has yet to pull of in the movies as far as I am concerned. (though I do still love Rob, he needs to take some pointers from Paul)

QOW: I'm curious to hear what people's responces are to the way that Damon attacks his prey- it definately is not the nice and neat puncture holes that we've previously become accustomed too. Do you like the viciousness of it or would you prefer a more graceful drink from the neck?

Question of the Week: The Vampire Diaries version

So I watched the first episode when it aired on T.V. and really enjoyed it- soooo much better than the books! But then the following Thursday all my regular shows came back on (Bones, The Office, Always Sunny) so I kinda forgot about VampDiaries. I decided to catch up on the three epis that I missed and I have to say I LOVE this show! I think it's interesting, has great vamp eye candy and they've even thrown in a twist at the end of the forth episode that I didn't see comming. So I just wanted to ecourage all you SVCers to WATCH IT!!! I think we could have some great diaglouge about the show here on the svc website. I think I will start a weekly blog about the show once a week.

My question this week is who is watching The Vampire Diaries? What do you think so far about Stefan and Damon and how they portray being a vampire compared to Twilight?
