Question of the Day

If you have read the first chapter of Breaking Dawn, what did you think of it? What do you think it means for the rest of the book? Do you think there were any "clues" or foreshadowing? Discuss!

I think Jacob missing will resolve itself at the wedding. I think he'll show then. And cause a ruckus.

Or maybe he'll show just before the wedding, Bella will be slightly late to the altar and Edward will be worried, but just when the wedding gets back on track (maybe even Jacob standing up for Bella in the wedding? Hmmm? Nah, that would never happen.), the Volturi or Denali show up...dun dun DUNNNNN!

I don't know, it didn't really give away much. I was disappointed in Bella, couldn't she be a little more excited about marrying Edward. Then again, she IS way too young to be getting married...
Jacob's not back yet, sniff sniff, I wonder when he'll make his appearance. Wasn't he in Canada? He would have much better luck imprinting if he came a little bit south, like to Minnesota:)

The first chapter did make me nervous because Bella didn't seem very happy. I know she feels bad about Jacob but it seemed to go beyond that.

Although her happy place gave me reassurance.

And I'm excited that the wedding is so close! And that her mom and Esme are buds. It also made me realize how much I love Alice.

I just felt like it was too easy. Her parents were fine with her getting married. Wedding planning blah blah blah. Back to the whole Bell a Barbie schtick. And what was with all that paranoia about people staring at her? Weird.
The only time I really felt Bella was when she was getting sad about Jacob. That Bella I remember and love. I don't know. I guess its easy to be picky when you only have one chapter and don't know where it is heading.
