Question of the Day

IMDB has changed the status of Twilight to completed. After all of our snooping and stalking, do you think the movie will be better than the book? Worse? The same?

12 enjoyed the bouquet.:

I think the book will always be better than the movie. I'm super excited for the movie, but nothing lives up to my imagination.

And maybe if I lower my expectations a bit, I'll be pleasantly surprised?

I don't think it will be as good as the book, they never really are. It's too hard to portray all the inner dialouge and angst.

I'll still see it though...Jes...

yeah I agree! I have yet to see a movie that is as good as the book! They just always have to change things! However I'm hoping since SM had such a hand in it that it will still be AWESOME! I'm super excited for it! However My Sis-in-law and I just realized that since they moved it up, it now comes out the DAY before her wedding! I hope I'll still get to go see it! Maybe we can have a vampire themed Bachelorette party and go see it! hehe!

i don't think it will be as good as the book either...or, it might be good, but not in the same way as the book was.

I worry a bit that there will be too much action and not enough of the romance...that's really the best part, isn't it? But i'm afraid since it's a movie they'll focus way too much on the James part of things to move things along.

The reason I like movies is because it puts things I see in my head in front of me. It is hard for me sometimes to read and be able to visualize everything clearly. This is why I like movies and am excited about this one.

I agree with what you say, though, about movies never being able to put in all that is in the book. There is just no way. This always tends to make the books far superior.

I hope the romantic chemistry translates to the movie. Hopefully Rob and Kristen have that -what ever it is- that makes a romantic movie real.

I always love to see movies of books so I can see other people's interpretation of the same thing. But it is never what I envision, sometimes that is a good thing and sometimes not. I'm still really excited to see Twilight!! I can't imagine anything dealing with Twilight not being good.

The book came first, so it'll always be more important to me, probably. But they are so separate in my mind - it's a brand new chance for me to experience Twilight for the first time. I think the movie will be awesome, I'll just enjoy it differently than I do the book.

I just really hope I don't waste my money. As long as it isn't one of those movie's u fall asleep halfway through, I'll be ok.

I share that concern with knichole. They better not focus on the action or the they are going to get a nasty letter from none other than moi. The whole story's about the romance, James is just a pain in the rear-end to make it interesting.

There is no way the movie's going to be better than the book. They never are. They better not have cut big parts out so they can add their own little scenes.

I'm supposed to be doing homework right now so I better get on that.

what show you watching ZZ?

I think that the movie is going to be great! Honestly, as long as I can watch Edward on the big screen via Rob, I don't think that I will care about anything else! Im pretty sure the first time I see it, I will be in a Rob/edward stupor.
